The images below are breakfast meals I served Nehal over the past few days. Most of you following ‘Sailus Kitchen’ will find that I have already blogged most of them. I thought these images might serve as breakfast ideas to new readers who might draw some inspiration.

Nehal loves these cheesy vegetable balls, I prepared last evening along with water melon juice. Very similar to the ‘Potato Nests’ recipe with a bit of variation and a good combination of flavors. Makes for a good starter or an evening snack and goes great with tomato sauce.

There were few idlis left from last night sitting in the fridge. So how do you use up those left over idlis? One simple quick way is Idli Upma.

Yesterday I baked peanut butter cookies. The original recipe also called for 1/4 cup granulated white sugar which I omitted. And I rolled the cookie dough ball in sugar before baking. Verdict – very good cookies.

Another favorite of Nehal’s is bread pizza. He usually has a slice of bread pizza for breakfast and takes a slice of bread pizza with a different topping for his school snack. To make it healthy, I use brown bread.

Today I baked some savory stuffed buns for Nehal. Turned out very well and will definitely try them again with a different stuffing.
