Bhutta ~ Corn on the Cob

Farm Fresh Sweet Corn

Our friends sent us few farm grown sweet corn cobs. Nehal is very fond of corn. I usually grill or simply steam them in salted water. For his evening snack, it was boiled and spiced Bhutta.

Not much of a recipe really. Bring two cups of salted water to a boil in a wide vessel. Reduce flame and place the corns in the water. Place lid and cook for about 12-15 mts (for tender corns). Turn off flame. Cool and remove on to a plate. Rub some butter along each corn on the cob. Sprinkle some pepper and a dash of lemon juice and relish.

  1. instead of boiling corn in water and wasting the boiled water and losing vitamins.please cook corn with the skin on micro wave for 90 sec turning half way.
