Christmas Treats ~ No Bake Rum Balls
Wishing all my dear readers a happy 2010!
No bake rum balls are very simple to put together and takes hardly any time to prepare. To make it kid-friendly, replace the rum with orange juice. Makes for a quick festive Christmas treat.
In a bowl, combine together 2 1/2 cups crushed vanilla wafers, 2 tbsps cocoa pwd, 1 cup pwd sugar. Stir in the 1 cup finely chopped walnuts, 3 tbsp dark corn syrup and 1/4 cup rum. Mix well till all the ingredients are blended. Pinch dough to make small lemon sized balls and roll in powdered sugar. Store in air tight containers.
In case you do not have corn syrup, substitute with honey or sweetened condensed milk.

Sailu garu,
excellent idea of making rum balls kid friendly and non-baking also.
Hello, I have tried various recipes from kids zone and my son loves to eat. In this recipe of ‘No bake rum balls’ i would like to know what do u mean by Rum. Since the recipe is in the kids zone i would assume rum has nothing to do with alcohol…Please let me know…
Thanks in advance for your response…
