Mince Meat Pattie (Burger)

Another favorite of Nehal is this mince meat burger. Whenever I cook kheema, I set aside a portion to prepare pattie/burgers or kheema sandwich.

Mince Meat Pattie/Burger Recipe

Prep & Cooking: 30 mts

.

Ingredients:

small cup of cooked minced meat/kheema

1 tsp green chilli paste

3-4 tbsps brown bread crumbs

1 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped

olive oil for shallow frying

For burger:

bun

low fat butter

lettuce leaves

finely sliced tomato, cucumber and onions

cheese slice

mayonnaise

mustard sauce (optional)

1 Combine cooked minced meat, bread crumbs, coriander leaves and green chilli paste. Add some chick pea flour/besan if required to shape into a patti. Prepare 2 pattis and keep aside.
2 Drizzle olive oil over a hot tawa. Place two patties on the tawa and shallow fry on medium flame on both sides till they turn golden brown. Remove onto absorbent paper, then place on a baking sheet and keep in a warm oven till you serve them. This will ensure that the outer crust stays crisp.
3 Serve hot with tomato sauce or green chutney OR prepare a burger by toasting the sliced bun, spread low fat butter and mustard paste, layer with lettuce leaves, onion, cucumber and tomato slices, followed by a cheese slice and the minced meat pattie.

  1. Wow, that looks good, sailu garu. I would try it out for my AKSHIT. Olive oil is must or can we use the regular cooking oil?

You can use regular cooking oil too.
